ARTIFICIAL VS NATURAL
Adaptive immunity is where a person is immune, and it works in a way to protect and prevent against foreign matter (bacteria, infections, virus, worms) entering and staying in the body.
Adaptive immunity can either be artificially acquired or naturally acquired. Natural meaning your body has made the T and C cells required which can be kept or passed on, and artificially meaning that you obtained the antibodies somehow via injection.
ACTIVE ARTIFICIAL: Antigens enter the body via vaccinations causing the body to make antibodies.
PASSIVE ARTIFICIAL: Pre made antibodies are injected into the body.
ACTIVE NATURAL: Naturally come across an antigen which triggers body to make antibodies
PASSIVE NATURAL: Mother's breast milk passes pre made antibodies to the baby
